Student Galleries: Winter In the Adirondacks
It almost seemed like we had everything, except bone fide winter when began our drive to the Adirondack High Peaks region and much to our dismay it would stay that way for most of our tour last week. While we had hoped for ample snow, we were confronted with bare trees, an icy leaf-strewn forest floor, ice covered trails, gray skies and when we approached the banks of the Ausable River the only snow we’d see during our visit dusted the ice chunks we had hoped with glisten under blue skies. So much of for anticipations. Still, braving sub-zero temperatures, our tour participants captured a fine collections of Adirondack images.
