Winter Gallery
As someone born and raised in central upstate New York, home of the snowiest city in the state according to National Snow and Ice Data Center, nearby Syracuse, I felt like a traitor when I headed south a couple winters ago. More to the point though, I missed the opportunity that a typical CNY winter provides for nature photographers. Sure it’s cold, it get’s dark early, and sometimes the roads can be treacherous. But oh the beauty of fresh fallen snow, the sparkle of icy creekside formations, and the arching pines along our country roads.
The color of springtime is in the flowers, the color of winter is in the imagination.
