Day 48 of my Journey

Psalm 15:5 The Lord is my inheritance and my cup; he alone will give me my reward.

He alone will give me my reward

And, He has been rewarding me every day since I began this journey. Some days, when I go out looking for a new image, I’m guided by His word based on readings from the liturgy of the day. Other times, I take the picture and then look to see how it reflects His word. Some days, like today, it appears impossible to find a relationship between the day’s reading and my new image. At least one that’s as direct as I was hoping when I began this journey.

As the journey proceeds, I find myself returning to the same locations repeatedly. That means I should begin seeing them in more detail. This morning, after donning my snowshoes for the first time this winter, I hiked up the north

trail, off the lower parking lot at Baltimore Woods. I was looking for something, but I didn’t know what. I asked for His guidance and tried to see what wasn’t obvious. I looked for lines, shadows and patterns in the snow.

I like what I found and I think this journey is trying to teach me how to see images in a different way than I have been used to.
