Day 47 of my Journey
Psalm 106:8 Give praise to the Lord for his kindness, for his wonderful deeds toward men.
I talked to a friend on the phone today who was on Long Island for a business meeting and, shall we day, not really enjoying the winter weather. The temperature this morning on Long Island, calculated with the wind chill factored in, was -2 degrees. Now, those of us who live in Central New York would agree that’s cold, but it wouldn’t be a really big deal. My friend, despite being raised in CNY, now lives in Florida and he wasn’t really prepared for below zero temps.
I had called him to brag about our bright, sunny, warm (33 degrees) day that showcased all the beauty our winters can put on display. He wasn’t buying it.
I literally pray for days like this and I hope the attached photos explain why. The first was taken a couple weeks ago, when it was cold and gray. The second was taken this afternoon. Both will stay in my collection, but I bet I show the second one more often.
“Give praise to the Lord for his kindness, for his wonderful deeds toward men.”
