Dare to believe in your creativity

Many of us have, at some point or another in our lives said something like, “I’m not very creative.” Even, “I don’t have a creative bone in my body.” If we never let ourselves be open to the possibility that we can be creative . . . our creativity likely won’t see the light of day. I believe the Good Lord created us to be creative . . . that He instilled in each of us a seed of creativity. Sometimes the thing keeping that seed from germinating is a blanket of fear, not unlike a sheet of black landscape fabric we might put on our flower gardens to deter weeds. If we lift the fabric, deliberately and intentionally reaching beyond our fear, remove the preconceived notions of what we can or cannot do, we will be surprised by the beauty that grows.
