Isn’t it amazing what a few days in the sun will do for you? My wife and I have just returned from visiting friends for a few days in Clermont, FL., mostly sun and comparatively warm temperatures – 60s and 70s. Back home they hovered in the 20s and 30s accompanied by clouds and wind.
While the batteries were recharged by sun and friends alike, a lesson has also been learned. Warm weather and sunny skies do not necessarily equate to printable pictures. My best of the week came late in the day after the sun had set or early in the morning with “dark” cloudy skies. Maybe it’s my upstate New York training.
I especially liked the results of photos taken from very low angles, close to the lake’s surface and with long exposures. As soon as I figure it out, I’ll upload a couple examples here.
